Selena Kweder graduated from Batavia High School, earned her degree in Elementary Education from Benedictine University along with an ESL endorsement, and recently earned a Master's in Education Leadership from NIU. She spent two years as an interventionist at Lincoln Elementary in Mendota before spending the last five years teaching the 5th grade at Jefferson in DeKalb. 

She is excited to join Cortland because of its strong culture, Dual Language program, and incredible staff. As an administrator, she hopes to support, help, and advocate for students and staff, helping them recognize what they're capable of, as so many did for her as she made her way into administration. 

She loves softball, having coached a travel team for the past twelve years, and spends her free time outdoors and kayaking.
